Wishlist Woes…..to Random Rarities.

Recently I did a Payday wishlist post about beautiful items I needed in my life. These all consisted of dresses and I was umming and aaahhing about what I was going to buy on payday.

Dolly and Dotty very kindly sent me two of the items, which I talk about in my review here

I then decided to purchase one of the Lindybop Options – in this case the beautiful blue and pink Angelica dress. angelica-peacock-blossom-occasion-dress-p2731-16610_zoom

The dress duly arrived and I am sad to say did not work on my shape and figure at all. In fact I looked like I was wearing a very beautiful potato sack. Of course, I had to send it back. There was just no way I could wear it without making a disgrace of myself with bits hanging out everywhere. Sad times. However, this does mean I am now looking for something else to spend my pennies on!

So… what to choose!

Well, of course I headed back to Lindybop to choose something else. In this case, the Zsa-Zsa Tropical twin set

This dress is a gorgeous wiggle dress, with a little matching bolero jacket. It is in the most fabulous blue, green and pink tropical print, which makes me thing of Foreign islands, and is perfect for the summer.

The dress and jacket are made of a very stretchy cotton, with adjustable shoulder straps, and the matching jacket, which makes it perfect for day or night.

The dress is currently in the sale for the bargain price of £28, and also comes in a variety of other fabrics, such as leopard print, polka dots and plain.

The outfit is very similar to the Pin Up Girl Clothing Tiki dress, apart from the fact that the Lindybop dress doesn’t have a draped skirt which hides the bumps and bulges.  But the difference of around £80 is more than explained by that!

The dress arrived in 4 days, which as I ordered on Saturday, was very good. As always, the dress was well packaged and secure, and I couldn’t wait to open it.

The colours of the dress are just stunning! Really vibrant and stand out. I couldn’t wait to try it on and I was not disappointed.

The dress is very form fitting, but this is one of the things that I love about it. In these photos, I was wearing normal underwear, instead of spanx. This means I do have quite a large VBO (Visible Belly Outline). Now, even 6 months ago I would have run away screaming from the mirror and the outfit would have been sent right back to the company.

So, what has changed in the past 6 months?

In honesty, I really don’t know! Am I more comfortable in my own skin? Or have I just stopped caring what people think in general?

All I know is that I love this pattern and print. I love the style, and so I am going to wear it with pride.

I also am quite a fan of how it looks from behind. The wiggle dress suits my frame and shape, and I know I will be wearing this one quite a lot.

I just need to get some matching hair accessories, and some little floral jewellery and I will be away!

Lindybop also do this dress in several other patterns, including red, navy and white and leopard print, so there is something for everyone!

What do you think to VBO? Does it bother you? Would you wear this dress?

Till next time,

Tx
