Fabulous Fashionable Firmoo

Three weeks ago I won a blog competition  over at the lovely Kira Curtis page. My prize was a pair of eyeglasses from a company called Firmoo.

Firmoo2

I had never heard of this company before, and had in fact, never tried using an internet glasses company before, so was a little worried about how the glasses would come out, and if indeed they were the quality that I would want.

Anyway, as I had won a pair I decided to go over to the page and peruse their massive range and see if there was anything that popped out at me. Well, I was amazed when I found about a dozen pairs that were absolutely perfect for me. With quite a large vintage style range, I was really pleasantly surprised.

I chose the pair that I won, and then decided to order and pay for another pair as the prices are just too good to ignore.

The pair I had as my prize was the K622  in Burgundy. I loved this frame as it was a little more square than I normally would have chosen, but I thought it would be good to try something new. The dark red frame with scrollwork detailing was really lovely, and I thought it would go with a lot of my outfits – well, You have to match don’t you?

Whilst the website shows the price in Dollars, you can change it to Pounds, which is what I did. This particular pair of glasses retails  at the amazing price of £12.81!

As I had won the glasses, I decided to purchase another pair, and decided on the K8903 in black, purple and lavender. These vintage cats eye glasses with a little bit of diamante were just too cute to resist.  So in the basket they went.

Currently the black pair is out of stock, however they have the same cute glasses in Pink and purple!

With all of Firmoo’s glasses, you get standard lenses inside. Extra’s such as thinner lenses, ultrathin or aspheric are all charged as extra, however starting at £3.17 for thinner lenses, it won’t break the bank.

You can also choose to have the lenses tinted, or even photochromatic. This is perfect for the summer, and again starts at the bargain price of £6.38.

Coming as standard, anti-scratch coating is included in the end price, which makes these just so very affordable.

Other items you can choose are Anti-reflective, Hydrophobic waterproof, and even fingerprint proof. All of these you can add when at the checkout, for nominal costs.

In my case, I decided to have both glasses as plain unaltered lens, which meant I didn’t have any other charges to pay for.

Not knowing whether the glasses came in any kind of special case, I went into the accessories section and added a leather case for £1.89 and a wooden case for £3.17.

I had immediate confirmation of my order, and thought I would have to wait a few weeks for the delivery as it was coming internationally….

Six days later, my package arrived. Extremely well wrapped and protected, I eagerly ripped into it to see what the glasses were like. I was actually amazed by what was inside.

Firstly I pulled out the leather and wooden case. Both were fantasic quality, and hopefully a sign of things to come.

Next, were two soft fabric drawstring cases. Which I wasn’t expecting. In each case was a little metal keyring with a long metal thin “rod” By unscrewing each end, I discovered both a phillips and a flat headed glasses screwdriver, in case of any issues with the arms of your glasses. Fantastic!

I then got down into the second half of the box, to find 2 hardshell glasses cases, with a beige map of the World print on the outside. In here were my two pairs of glasses, plus a large glasses cloth in each.

Had I have known that these would come as standard, I probably wouldn’t have ordered the extra cases. It just means I have a few spares now.

Getting the glasses out, I was really pleased by the quality and design of them. I was a little concerned as it is vital that glasses be absolutely spot on. And these were!

When you go onto the website, all you have to do is enter your current prescription, and then get a friend to help you measure your pupillary distance. This sounds more complicated than it is, literally it is  case of holding a ruler up to measure the distance between your pupils.

Once you have added these details, it is simply a case of ordering anything and everything you like.

The two pairs I received were sturdy and well made. The designs were spot on, fashion wise and I loved both of them on. As previously mentioned, The black cat’s eye ones are currently out of stock, so have illustrated the pink ones that they still have available.

Looking at the site, the most expensive standard (with no alterations/additions) pair of glasses is just £25, which is just unbelievably affordable.

I wore the cat’s eye glasses for the first time at work, doing a 9 hour shift in front of a computer, and I have to say, they were excellent. No issues whatsoever.

I fully intend to order more glasses from Firmoo, and swap and change them with my outfits, much as I would a necklace or a handbag. Fast fashionable eyewear for every occasion!

In a previous post, I spoke about my love for Specsavers, and certainly I will still be going there for my contact lens needs, as well as appointments and check ups. However, for excellent quality eyewear at a great price, I thoroughly recommend Firmoo.

Have you used this company before? What do you think to their range?

Till next time,
Tx
