Now, as you know I am addicted to dresses. Completely.
I have gone from having no dresses in my life, and consequently struggling to find something when I have needed it for an occasion, to having hundreds of them!
I looked in my wardrobes the other day, and I just didn’t know what to wear. NOT because I had nothing to choose from, but that there were TOO many things in there for me to chose from!
So, I decided that I am on a shopping and spending hiatus. No more dress orders for me for at least two months.
And then Lindybop had a 75% off sale…………………
Well, I just couldn’t say no to that. With a creaking debit card, I decided to have a look and see if there was anything that caught my eye.
Now Lindybop do have some amazing sales, but as I need the largest size they do (26) they don’t always have a lot of products left in that size. However, not this time! There was just so much to chose from, I was stumped.
Eventually I decided on 6 different items. I am fully expecting that not all of these will fit, and some will be going back. However, I just couldn’t narrow it down any further.
My first choice was the beautiful Tiffany dress in Black and Cream. Another of the gorgeous wiggle style dresses, this with a wide cream collar, cuffs and pockets.
This was down in price from £32.00 to only £13.00. What a bargain!
The second dress was the stunning Tabby dress in emerald green. This off the shoulder wiggle dress in satin has been on my want list for some time, so I was chuffed to see it in the sale. Down from £36.00 to just £14.00.
Then I went slightly “off-piste”. I was quite struck by these lovely navy culotte trousers, The Bobette Culottes have a distinct nautical feel about them, and I have several different accessories that I think will go really well. And as they are down in price from £24.00 to £12.00 it has to be worth a go.
Of course, a girl needs a suitable nautical top to wear with those culottes, so I went with the Carlotta Red and White stripe top. Totally seaworthy, it was so cute and again at a reduction from £18.00 to just £9.00, It would be the perfect top for those culottes.
Because I never wear trousers of any kind, I don’t have any tops. At all. So, I thought I would add another little cutie into the mix, with the Caterina gingham top in Navy. Again this would give me another look, without breaking the bank, as it was down to £8.00 from the original £20.00 price tag!
Now, my last and final purchase is the amazing Maybelle Jacquard suit in peach. As regular readers of my blog will know, I added this to my birthday wish list as I just love the whole classy Jackie O style, and the colour is so different to anything that I have, that I wanted to get it. I am happy that I decided to wait, as this has been reduced from £55.00 to just £28.00. What an absolute bargain!
As you can see, Lindybop has some real bargains to be had at the moment. I bought items with an RRP of £185.00 for the amazing price of £84.00. You can’t do better than that!
Hopefully all of my purchases will arrive next week, and I will do a round-up of what I kept and what I had to return, so watch this space.
Till next time
