Tattoo for you?

A few weeks ago I was invited to a special  press event being held by Yours Clothing in London.

Sadly I was unable to attend due to my day job, but Yours very kindly offered to include me in their new launch and I have to say, it’s a lot of fun!

Yours have got together with London Tattoo artist Barbara from Parlour Tattoo to make an app that allows you to test out having a tattoo before you take the plunge and get one done.

Test a Tattoo

Now having 4 or 5 tattoo’s myself, and knowing just how addictive they are, this app gives you a chance to place preset tattoo designs on different parts of your body without having ink anywhere near your skin.

All you have to do is go to the Yours Clothing website and  upload a photograph of where you would like the tattoo to be. You then choose from a wide range of tattoo designs. You can move them around, swap designs and choose your final look.

Love and Roses

Yours very kindly chose some of my photographs from social media and had a play at putting different designs on me.

Black work

I think the app is great fun and it is quite addictive adding different photographs and playing around with the designs.

The only downside (if there is one) it makes me want to get a new tattoo……

I’ve never had a tattoo myself, i’m one of those people who like to change things so a proper tattoo would not be a good idea for me. I like temporary ones as they last a few weeks and you can change them

    • They are a great idea for mixing things up, definitely xx

  • Beautyqueenuk

I dont have any tattoos but I do like them and I think they can look amazing x

    • They can be beautiful pieces of art! I would love more x

  • Until recently, tattoos for me were a real no no on myself. I love them on other people but, I don’t know what it is, I’m just not sure they’re very me! I love the idea of trying one of these temp ones out though, i feel like it’d help me make an informed decision x

    • It is a good idea to try before committing,. My daughter drew her design on herself in marker pen and left it there for a couple of days to see if she liked it enough! x

  • Oh wow I was gonna say I remember that bikini picture and you didnt have a tattoo lol. I am loving the app though me and tats dont get on lol

    • When I saw the bikini picture, it almost made me believe I had that tattoo!!! fabulous app x

  • Laura

This is such a fun idea! I’ve quite fancied a tattoo for years but always worried about what to get incase Id regret it in later life xxx

    • It is always good to try temporary suggestions before commiting. I will definitely be getting more x

  • Shannon Bryson

Okay that’s actually a really great idea! You get to try before you commit!

  • Kiyshia Goche

  • Such a great idea. I know how addictive tattoo’s can get with my count at around 10 x

  • What a great idea – not sure I could get one, but it’s great for those that want a tattoo x

    • Because it is just on your photographs, it gives you a good idea of how something may look. xx

  • love this idea! ive been wanting a tattoo for ages but I’m a wimp. i can’t imagine myself with one so this is great to see how bad i look with one hahaha

    • I love mine and definitely want to get more. This could really help someone make up their mind on whether to commit or not x

  • Jodie Whitham

What a great idea! Stops you regretting them and help with the placement x

  • Ooh this is such a good idea! Definitely gonna try it.

  • What a great idea. This is great for anyone who is umming and ahing over a tattoo. I always said I’d never get another after my first but I now want a second one

    • They really are very addictive, aren’t they? xx

  • Deborah Nicholas

What a fabulous idea. I have seen a lot of badly placed ones so something like this should have been around years ago! lol

  • fashion-mommy

That is such a clever idea and can definitely help you find the perfect tattoo for you.

    • Especially if you really aren’t sure if you want to commit to it or not! x

I love tattoos, but I know that I get fed up with things easily. I have a small anchor inside my arm under my armpit that you can only see when I put my hand up. I really like it and I like the fact that I don’t see it unless I really try too. That helps me not get fed up with it.
    The roses are lovely.

    • I agree! Placing is important. I had one I love done on my back, but I never see it really, and that is a shame x

  • Anthea

What a great idea. I can imagine this will be really useful when trying to decide what and where to have. It can be really hard to visualise what a tattoo will really look like

    • It can be difficult! This is a little bit of fun, but may just help someone decide x
