Macmillan Millinery Madness! - Secret Plus Size Goddess

For those long time readers you may remember a post I did a little while ago about my friend Jane, who whilst battling Cancer has taught herself Millinery.

I wanted to show everyone the amazing creations she had designed and which I know own several of, and wear with great pride.

Now, Jane has decided to giver herself a new challenge. She has become so prolific in her hat making that she has run out of space to store them all!

Now being the kind hearted person that she is, Jane has never wanted to profit from her hats, fascinators and hair flowers. She would be more than happy making a few pounds to buy more stock and wooden hat blocks so she can make even more, but that is as far as it goes.

Because of this, an idea has sprung up between us. As Jane has Cancer herself, what better way to raise funds and give back to the organisation that has helped her and so many others, than having a charity sale!

So Jane and I will be hosting an online Charity hat auction on Ebay. 75% of the profits will be going to the Macmillan Appeal, to coincide with their huge Charity coffee morning on Friday 29th September.

All items are bespoke, brand new and handmade by Jane and will have amazing low starting prices. Obviously we want to raise as much money as possible for such a worthwhile Charity, so if you could dig deep it would be fantastic!

The auction will take place on Ebay and be open for one week. The bidding will end on Sunday 8th October and the winners notified.

All bids will of course be final and are non-returnable. Postage in the UK will be £5.00. Obviously these delicate items will be boxed and -packaged with the utmost care. Multiple purchases will have a combined reduced postage.

Obviously we want to raise as much money as possible for such a worthwhile Charity, so if you could dig deep it would be fantastic!

I can’t even begin to tell you how well designed and made these creations are. Each one is unique, so there will no-one wearing the same as you to that special occasion. Ideal for weddings, christenings, a day at the races, or like me, just because you can!

Several of the hats from my original blog plus some new ones will be included in the auction, so why not grab yourself a bespoke bargain whilst supporting this amazing charity.

I can honestly say that her work is beautiful. The time and attention to detail she gives is outstanding and I am proud to call her not just my friend, but an amazing woman!
