Several weeks ago I had a lovely email from Anubhav at a relatively new plus size brand, Love4All.

The brand is only several months old but is already doing great things and they wondered if I would like to review one of their items!

Well of course I would! I had already been looking at their range which goes from size 14 to 26 in majority of their lines and I was very impressed with what I was seeing.

During the course of our correspondence, Anubhav offered to send one of my favourite dresses on the site, the formal lace maxi dress.

Now, I vary between a size 24 and a 26 dependent on style. As this was a straight dress I opted for the size 26 which Love4All kindly sent to me literally in a couple of days.

This is where I have sadly let the company down a little. Being a conscientious person, I like to get reviews done within the first week, weather for the photographs permitting.

However I was struck down with a horrific cold and cough and couldn’t even sit at my desk to write, let alone get all dressed up. Sadly this continued for nearly 3 weeks, but I think I have finally seen the back of it!

Of course, I emailed and apologized for the delay and promised normal service would be resumed soon.

So, here we are, finally reviewing the gorgeous full length lace dress.

Generously sized with a fair bit of stretch, the dress features a nude/gold underslip with a black lace overlay, the dress is very elegant and perfect for a special night out.

The lace is a delicate trellis pattern and it allows a good portion of the contrast colour to show through. The dress is very lightweight which is great in this current heatwave, so you can still look amazingly stylish without melting into a big puddle!

Being just under 5ft4, this dress skimmed the ground on me which was perfect. With a small heel it would be a little better too.

The quality of this dress is just lovely and for such a formal dress at a great price, you really can’t go wrong.
