If you follow me, you will have seen a couple of previous posts regarding beach pyjamas.
I had tried some that were too small and was looking for alternatives. I saw some kimonos on Shein and a cool pair of trousers and thought I would give them a try, and Boy I am so glad that I did!
30’s Style
The wide leg trousers are out of this world. Full bodied (a bit like me) with pleats at the sides, the shaping is very unusual. And they fit like a treat. On the model, they are just about ankle length, but on me they were down to the floor.
Beach Time?
Perfect!
I coordinated the trousers with a kimono that had a very 30’s print feel to it. I paired it with some lovely Miss L Fire shoes, a perfect floral hair accessory and a wooden vintage box bag.
Stunning Design
The trousers are extremely comfortable; a crepe like material and very loose and cool. The vibrant colour is perfect for the summer and of course, that loose kimono will keep the sun off my pasty pale skin.
Perfect Pattern
I have to admit it, I bloody love this outfit so much!
How wide are they???
Moving onto the second outfit, I had seen the kimono pattern and loved it. Palm leaves with blue, white and fawn colours, I thought it would make perfect Beach Pyjamas.
Just perfect
But I couldn’t find a pair of trousers to go with it on the SHEIN site.
Stylish Pattern
Then I had a brain wave.
I already had a pair of navy blue vintage wide leg trousers from Unique Vintage. I have worn them on lots of occasions and I absolutely love them. They are the most comfy things I own and I knew they would match the kimono perfectly.
Elegant and Beautiful to wear
This time I paired it with a deep sun hat from Primark and some little kitten heels from next. I actually have the perfect handbag to go with both the outfit AND the hat; a straw bag with navy cloth accent. But I didn’t think about it at the time, but I certainly will when I wear it out and about as it is a huge bag that fits so much into it.
Beautiful Day
With the straw hat, there was a black band around it, which I took off to I could mix and match it with different outfits. As this kimono has a waist tie which I won’t be using, when I wear it out I intend tying that around the crown of the hat to match!
Photobombed…. But what a Bomb!
I also like the idea of getting a vintage parasol to go with it, so will be keeping my eyes open for that too.

I was really happy with the finished look of this set. Again it does the perfect job of keeping the sun off my skin whilst still being loose and ‘blowy’.
Pretty as a Picture
I have to admit that I wasn’t too sure that this idea of mine would work. In essence, I am wearing nightwear over a pair trousers and thinking I could go outdoors in them.
And you know what?
Couldn’t resist adding a close up….
I certainly did AND will be doing so in the future.
Just bring on the sun!
