If you are familiar with my style you would know that I love to wear complimentary accessories with my outfits.
These are usually made up of stacks of bangles from my favourite sellers – Bow and Crossbones, Splendette and Luxulite.
I have a huge old Panettone tin which I store them in and when I first started wearing bangles, I didn’t think I would ever fill the tin. Now it is overflowing and I have no idea where I am going to put anything new that I receive.
This has simply not stopped me from collecting more and this has never been more true this past week.
Bow and Crossbones announced a mahoosive seconds sale.
This was dangerous because –
a) It was nearly my birthday
b) I had asked for money for my birthday
c) it was payday.
So, did I wait a week for my birthday or did I spend money that I thought I would be probably getting for my special day and hope I didn’t spend too much?
Going onto the website sealed my fate.
There were every colour and variety of bangle that I had lusted over for the past few months, including Teal, Peacock and Dark Brown varieties that I wanted to match a bespoke dress that I am having made by the wonderful Karen Harvey.
It was then that I noticed there were a fair few earrings on sale too.
Well, I just had to go and have a look, didn’t I?
I had come to the realisation recently that I don’t have a lot of complimenting earrings. I have two white, 1 red, 1 navy and 2 tortoiseshell lucite hoops but I have so many different coloured outfits that I needed to ‘up my game’.
Again the site had absolutely loads of earrings and I went a bit crazy adding them to my basket, willy nilly.
Before confirming my order though, I went back through the basket, deleting any duplicates or ones that I thought too similar.
I was also looking for some earrings to get for my bespoke outfit and worked out that I had put 7 different pairs that would all compliment the outfit, but I really didn’t need all seven, so again I scaled them down until I had my favourites.
All told, I had ordered 8 bangles in the seconds sale, 1 full price bangle, 10 pairs of earrings in the seconds sale and 1 full price pair.
What really pleased me was that there was also a buy 6 get 1 free offer on in the seconds section, which meant as I had 18 items in my basket, I got 3 of them FREE!
Winner, Winner!
So, what exactly did I get? Well here is the list.
Suzy Confetti Stud Earrings in Blue Starburst & Suzy Confetti Stud Earrings in Long Island
Kane Wicker Earrings in Avocado & Kane Wicker Earrings in Flamingo
Kane Wicker Earrings in Jade Vine & Kane Wicker Earrings in Blue Lagoon
Elsie Hoop Earrings in Burnt Orange & Elsie Hoop Earrings in Peacock
Elsie Hoop Earrings in Olive Green & Elsie Hoop Earrings in Chartreuse
Bark C Hoop Earrings In Mahogany and Bark Bangle in Mahogany
Elsie Bangle in Coco & Elsie Bangle in Hot Pink
Elsie Bangle in Teal & Elsie Bangle in Seafoam
Ivy Vines Bangle in Pale Yellow & Ivy Vines Bangle in Light Teal
Etta Bangle in Parakeet Green & Etta Bangle in Yellow
Now, given that the Bark earrings and Bangle were full price and came to £20.98, this meant the other items came to a grand total of £60.50 with free shipping.
That made the other 18 items a average price of £3.36 each!
Well, you can’t get much better than that. Obviously I hastily pressed the order button and waited with baited breath for all my goodies to arrive.
The down side to that was they arrived four days before my birthday and I wasn’t allowed to have them early.
Sad Times.
I am not the most patient of people when it comes to pretty things and I have to admit that it was hard not to wear them. However as soon as my birthday arrived, I had a full stack on to match my clothing and a brand new pair of earrings too!.
Having so many new accessories, I will need to really think about the outfits they match with, so I get a chance to showcase them all.
Till next time,
