My next purchase of my recent Shein haul was a stunning little number in green velvet.

A fitted flare dress in dark green caught my eye as it was both classy AND yet simple enough to dress up.

In fact, when I first saw the dress I thought it was the perfect 40’s dancing dress if paired up with a pair of dancing pumps or strappy shoes.

I ordered the dress in a 4XL and this was spot on. The fitted section skimmed across my chest area before dropping into the flared skirt which was full and bouncy.

The trickiest thing was actually choosing which colour to have as it comes in Navy, Black and Burgundy. In the end I opted for the green as I had specific items I wanted to pair with it.

When I opened the package up, I was impressed by the quality of the velvet. It was both thick and luxuriant whilst not being too heavy.

The skirt was fuller than I thought it would be and once I put it on, it had a great weighted swing to it which means I was right about being perfect for dancing.

What was even better though, was the price of the dress. Shein have a great offer running where you can buy one full price dress and get another for 99% off.

That meant I paid the grand price of 14p for this wonderful dress.

Even at the full price of £21.99 its an absolute steal and I would have no compunction in paying double that amount. It really is that good!

Striking Shade

The measurements on this dress come out at 47″ at the bust and 42″ at the waist. This would normally not even touch the sides, however the reviews had said it was a very stretchy material and people were sizing down.

This proved to be completely correct and the dress fitted like a charm.

Flattering From All Angles

Adding my black Bettie Page wig from Mimo, I left the styling very plain and simple and went with black slingbacks.

I also wanted to give it a true vintage feel so added some nude stockings with black seams and a cuban heel.

Needless to say, I felt both comfortable and classy. It is a very feminine dress but covers all the assets in a way that gives the wearer a sense of elegance, yet also sexiness.

A Perfect Choice

In fact, it is so good I might need to get it in the other colours!
